EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM
As we head into the second half of February our agents are preparing for a busy spring in the real estate world. This is the time of year when buyers are more active and there are more houses on the market. We like to suggest to our clients that they start the preparation process before spring has technically sprung.
Here are some ways to get your house ready to list:
- Focus on interior repairs. Repair items like a leaky faucet, paint chips and have your HVAC appliances serviced. Save the exterior maintenance for warmer weather.
- Declutter your personal property. You don’t realize how much “stuff” you have until you try to move it all. Start chipping away at what you want to keep and donate before you put your house on the market.
- Consider home staging. Staging can be as minor as furniture placement, fresh paint to brighten a room or adding a few key accessories.
Don’t hesitate to contact any of our agents for referrals for a handyman, a stager, or any of our trusted partners in preparation to list your house.
