Jim, “Shorty” as he’s been known since 6th grade, graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in broadcasting and a minor in business. Shorty put his education and drive to work in the high-end lithography business for 39 years. Together with his wife of 50+ years they have raised 3 children who account for 9 grandchildren. Shorty and Becky (she Is co-founder of “Sisters on the Fly”) moved from Laguna Beach, California to McCall, Idaho in 1998. The Clarkes now reside in the East End Warm Springs area. Shorty has always believed in helping people, be it as a mentor in the lithography business, a youth sports coach, or in various McCall organizations: Chair Parks and Rec Advisory, McCall Centennial Committee or McCall Improvement Committee. Shorty also sits on the board of the Kit Worthington Foundation for the Arts. It is this commitment to public service that drives Shorty to help those who may be new to Idaho or to Boise to find their place in our community.
